Welcome to
the official JSerra Catholic High School JourneySafe Club Website!
JSerra Catholic High School is
the first school to establish an official JourneySafe Club. The club would be affiliated with the JourneySafe outreach program of the Gillian Sabet Memorial Foundation,
designed to encourage the kind of leadership qualities demonstrated by the loving character of Jill Sabet, and founded for
the purpose of promoting the JourneySafe
goals on our campus and in our community.
The primary goals of JourneySafe are:
- To protect teens by raising awareness about unique young-driver safety issues and encourage a buddy-system approach
between teen drivers and their passengers to reduce the kind of distraction that are responsible for almost 2/3 of all teen
automobile accident related fatalities.
- To protect teens by encouraging the same buddy-system attitude among peers who agree to help each other journey safely
through every aspect of teen life. JourneySafe
friends and club members will encourage each other to make positive healthy choices that are pleasing to God and protective
of each other’s best physical, emotional and spiritual interests.

Within the club, we will discuss and talk about the many obstacles and tragedies that can affect and impact our lives
as teens. We will concentrate on how we can help protect ourselves and our friends from danger. Because driving is a modern teen right of passage, we want our peers to treat that privilege as a “solemn”
right that should not be seen as our ticket to freedom, as much as our initiation into the adult world of being responsible
for the lives of others. As JourneySafe club members we will commit some of our Christian Service hours to aid in the
efforts of approved organizations and/or programs that share these same goals.
